What We Believe
This is a brief statement of the core convictions that shape our teaching, preaching, and ministry.
Scripture
We believe that the Bible in its Old and New Testaments is the only Word of God given to man and the only authoritative source for doctrine and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21)
God
We believe there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live (1 Cor. 8:6). We believe the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are equal in their essence yet distinct in their being — this is the overall testimony of Scripture.
The Son
Jesus, the Son of God, is fully God in his nature who became man to die on the cross to atone for our sins and rose again for our justification. (John 1:1, 14; Rom. 4:25; Phil. 2:6–8)
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God in his nature who indwells and empowers the believer. (Acts 5:3–4; Acts 1:8)
Salvation
Salvation is by Grace alone through Faith alone in Christ alone. A radically transformed life is the only mark of being born again. (Eph. 2:8–9; 2 Cor. 5:17; John 3:3)
Signs and Wonders
While we believe that we should always give a reason for the hope we have in Christ (1 Pet. 3:15), the key to evangelism is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit and power in signs and wonders that are still active today for the primary purpose of evangelism. (1 Cor. 2:4)
Eternal State
We believe that those who are washed with the blood of the Lamb will be with the Lord forever (1 Thess. 4:17). We believe in eternal conscious torment in a literal lake of fire for those who attempt to reach God in any way other than the cross and resurrection of Christ. (Rev. 20:15)
